Vacation to phoenix, AZ

well, my mom lined up this gay ass trip to a place in the desert. Does anyone know of anything fun to do there. I looked at the city commerce website but there is like nuthing but like racetracks, im thinking ima go to watch greyhound races one day, maybe go to that huge biosphere thingy, and go to the sedona canyons one day. Is there anything else there to do?

EDIT: BTW I hate golf, my mom says there is alot of nice golf courses but i hate golf so please dont suggest that.
