rares.. Now that rsbuddy is gone.

Any predictions. I got a feeling there gonna dip then come back up strong come the end of November.

 

I hope they take a huge spike up, or GP becomes worth more. Something along those lines.

 

I doubt RSBuddy itself effects the price of Partyhats since I doubt anyone botted enough GP for 1.4B+ but, I think people will sell their partyhats to be able to merch now that items are going up then re-buy them at a later time.

I don't think the price will change too much, but the value will be higher. As in RSGP will have a higher value.

 

Price of gold =/= Higher prices in-game



The prices will eventually go down in the long run because if the bots aren't creating GP (Bringing in GP to the economy) then the money is being drained out (Bans, etc..). The commonly botted resources will eventually be bled from the economy and those prices will go up but with less GP supply in the game then the higher priced items will be worth less because they aren't as much demand for them. It is simple economics really.

More Demand/Less Supply ---> Higher price
Less Demand/More Supply ---> Lower price


But this could take a while: 1 year +

 

Partyhats change a lot if price

For example the blue was selling for about 4.4b before the botting nuke and now its down at 4.2b. People panic sell and buy their partyhats whenever a big update is coming to Runescape.

IMO, everything that is worth wealth will go up, if it's somewhat popular, gold will increase per m, soon....

 

Rares will drop a little at first as people desperately try to cash out, and then go back up.

The common trait among rares pre and post bots is that they always are rare. They always rise. That GP that was botted is still in the market. Inflation still exists. The price of everything else will rise, so will the rares.

 

Yeah, the price of rsgp will rise. There's no bots to support the farm, so it's up to us, the people who work hard at getting it, to determine the price.

first of all, holidays have absolutly no effect on rares anymore

if theres no bots, the buying power of gp will be raised, and the cost of items will lower (ie rares)

people know this is going to happen so there panic selling now to prepare to buy back cheaper.

The price of gold is going up and the influx of gold into the game is going down because the bots are gone so...

 

Personally thinking that rares will drop, although the value of GP will rise, so they won't actually be dropping in theory.

 

The "cost" of rares is going to remain the same.

People are arguing that there will be less GP in the game because of less botters. This is true. This will increase the value of each GP, which will stop the inflation.

A lack of inflation means that the GP value of items will go down, since 1 GP is "worth" more when there are less of them to go around.

So, rares will be valued for less GP's. BUT this doesn't mean that the rares will have less value. Since EVERYTHING will go down in their GP cost, this means that the rares will still be valuable.

For example:

Santas drop 30m eventually because of the lack of GP people have to buy them

But so did AGS's, which means your Santa may currently be worth 6 AGS's right now. Both AGS's and Santa's will go down, but you'll still be able to buy 6 AGS's since the price of both have gone down.

 

you are kinda right. since the buy power of gp is going up... rares will take a dip, but will soon rise again due to the laws of inflation. bots dont add gp into the game which is hard for people to understand. Dragon bones are not coins!! adding items into the game does not effect the power of gold. IT IS AND ONLY IS the small monster drops of coins the add MORE coins into the game. and as more coins enter the game the less the coins are worth which inflate all rare items.
