    Runescape Phisher Emails

Hey guys just wanted to warn you guys about runescape phisher emails.

I'm not sure how my email got selected, but when i check it today i had like 3 messages from what was supposed to be jagex.

I had an email saying that i was accused for a sharing account offense, leading to a phished log in.
I had an email saying i was chosen to be a player mod, leading to a phisher log in.
And i had an actual email from jagex telling me the news of the month.

All i'm saying is if you get any emails from "Jagex", be careful with the links they lead to.

I am getting loads of these, even though the email I use is not linked to my rs account.

I get them too, just something you have to deal with and laugh at the poorly made ones. :)

Below the link it says "Failure to cooperate may result in your accounts being locked or permanently banned", obvious red alert, make sure you read everything and remember that Jagex doesn't email you about your accounts offenses.

Well it's very easy to tell if they are phishers or not. JaGeX NEVER sends you emails. They only message you through their inbox thing on runescape.com, so yeah.

Some of the phish E-mails are quite well done

The best way to tell if an E-mail is legit or not is that Jagex will always mention your account name in their E-mails and phishers will say "dear player" or "dear loyal member" or something like that

I got this one also and I find it funny how much time and effort people put into scamming pixels. Anyway I would suggest that if you ever get an email concerning your runescape acccount that you go to the real runescape website and simply check your accounts inbox.

They got me once when the entire thing was still new but now they're pretty obvious, I do get a lot of them though, mostly through random forums.
