So, here's my current loadout;

Attack- 30 (Waterfall Quest)
Strength- 30 (Waterfall Quest)
Defence- 1
Range- 83
Mage- 40
Constitution- 64
Prayer- 12

I'm wondering what I should do next, and where I should stop. A range tank should probably go for 99 defence right? So if I started using long range while botting at the range guild it wouldn't hurt anything/effect future questing? And I've heard that training attack/strength to a certain level won't effect combat level.. is this true? Feel free to fill out the following form with your preferred levels for a range tank, with your reasoning. Thanks!

Attack-
Strength-
Defence-
Range-
Mage-
Prayer-

You should get ~70-75 attack, and then train defence with melee. Much faster than longranged.

So ideal stats would be:

Attack - 70
Strength - 70
Defence - 70/75/80/99
Ranged - 99
Mage - 94+, 99 if tank bridding
Constitution - Where it lands naturally
Prayer - 44 at the very least, but 74 for rigour highly recommended

P.S. Don't forget your quests, they're just as essential to ranged tanks as other accounts.

a reasonable att/str lvl to have as a range tank would be 40-70 att/str. 70 being the max for both. But are you wanting to be able to use melee as a way to k0 or you just using range?

If your a range tank you normally dont use melee....only to train def.

Be carefull botting at range guild, fast ban rate.

I heard 75strength (or was it attack?) was the way to go. Y'know, I'm not quite sure why a range tank needs attack/strength, but I always assumed it was for k/oing. And I want everything to be fully quested, so yeah, I'll definitely work on those. So here's what I'm thinking, please add/change this with your advice

Attack- 70
Strength- 70
Defence- 99
Range- 99
Mage- 99 (might as well,no extra combat)
Prayer- 74

The stat builds that the people above me mentioned is great, I would also get rigour through botting dung helps a lot

Ok, so why/how would it benefit me to get 75 attack? What's at 75 attack that will help me?

I'd recommend.
Range- 99
Hp - 99 ideally
Defence - 75-90. If you go too high veng combos aren't easy to time.
Prayer - 74
Attack/Strength - When you're maxed you can have a combined level of 147. However, strength should be 69 for hand cannon IMO.
EDIT: Mage - 94+ obviously.

Veng combo? What's that? Haha. My bad. So is the hand cannon good for pvp or pvm, or both? Why should I use it?
