Range tank help

Hi guys, I do realize there may be about 1000 other threads out there about a range tank. But I'm just trying to get a validation on these stats i've come up with. Please don't be too harsh, I just started playing again and plan on becoming a member once I get my stats up high enough. Also, I don't want a really high combat level, so take that into account.

1-str
-72 def (i know odd number but its so i don't go over 90 cbt lvl)
-99 hp
-99 magic
-99range

Comments? Criticism? I'm all ears.
Also, if you mention different stats, could you please give a reasoning behind it so I may consider it?

Those are good stats, but I would get at least 75 def for dfs. It's well worth the one extra combat level. You can also get 74 attack and strength without gaining any extra combat. You don't have to, but meleeing is better when training def.

And what about prayer? should i up that or is it kind of useless?

 

Dragonfire Shield. Costs around 8m. Best def bonus of any shield when charged other than dungeoneering shields.

I would get at least get 44 for now. Eventually you will want 74 for Rigour.

Good stats, You should get like 60 attack and 84 or so str so you dont level, for dds / claw k0's

 

But what about turmoil? Are the KO's worth it (can't i use a D bow for that instead to counter turmoil)?

 

i think try either get 50 attack 99 strength for owning, u wont level (only from hp) or if u want to brid get 75-78 attack with 70 strength for SOL *staff of light* and Maiasmic Barrage

 

If you haven't started training your account yet, I'd reccommend thinking of other, non-tank builds. Tanks get boring so quickly, despite lacking the k0 power.

Thing is, my old account already has these stats:
66 attack
62 str
54 def
80 range
84 mage
72 hp
54 pray
And alot of quests like DT and such.
Since i just started playing again Im trying to decide between making a tank out of him or just starting a new pure.
What's best for PKing?

 

If you plan on hybriding you might want to do DT, and the örequests will givr you 30ish in both att and str, bit as ypure range based it wont give you combats, otherwise it's a nice counter to all turmoil pures at those lvls

 

If you consider dfs go for one more def lvl 76 you'll be safe without gaining a cmb lvl according to swift kits calc. Be weary though.

 

Looks like a good account setup. I suggest going to 75 def and buying a dfs.

would it be worth sacrificing HP for lower combat levels. For example 82 HP would have me at 93 cbt. At 99 hp im at 98 cbt

Also, what type of setup should i have first for pking then for dueling?
