Knowing the guide =/= Guide guessing

I enjoy surfing through the internet, searching for Runescape guides to increase my knowledge of Runescape. Be it money making methods, skill guides, monster guides, i enjoy reading them all, but mainly enjoy reading money making guides most.

Therefore, i know many money-making methods. ( The ones that are released free publicly )

Hence, before i purchase a guide off the Guides section, i want to be sure that the guide i'm paying for is actually NEW and UNIQUE, and something which i do not previously have knowledge of. I DO NOT want to pay for something that i have already KNOWN. That, is a total waste of money.

Let's look at it this way, if i already own a book let's say "Jacob's Make Fast Money Guide". Then, someone offers to sell me a guide which he claims is original and discovered by him called the "Copied Make Money Guide", which requirements are pretty similar and alike to "Jacob's Make Fast Money Guide". I ask him if it is [insert Jacob's money making method] to ensure that i'm not paying for something i already know.

    Then i get infracted.

    huh?

I feel that there is actually nothing wrong with guessing a guide, unless you are making hundred's of guesses on the same thread.

If the guide is indeed ORIGINAL and UNIQUE, and is not released in other runescape forums, then what is wrong with clarifying the customer's doubts?

CONCLUSION : Knowing the guide, and clarifying that it is not something you already know is no form of GUESSING the guide.

PS : FireZ and hahanerd are great mods.

If you want to inquire if it is a specific guide, then do so via PM or MSN. Guessing the guide on their thread does not further their sales, is off topic, and could potentially be leaking another guide as well.

I agree with this. Usually before buying a guide I will ask it's such and such and if it's not - I will buy it.

Also, if you found that guide free already and then it looks similar to the being sold - report it. It will get re-verified just to make sure it's not free.
