Spam Reports

I Have noticed that none of my spam reports have been taken care of so I was wondering if there is some kind of technical problem or if the staff are just busy?

But seriously, these have been filling up alot faster than usual recently. Once it filled about 10 pages overnight I think...

 

Truthfully, most moderators are waiting until the first of August to start reports. We don't get credit or recognition for doing them until then.

Rest assured they will be processed soon.

 

I have done 5+ reports in last 2 days and none have been completed.

 

I don't understand why don't you get credit or recognition for them?

 

Every time a moderator moves a thread, locks something(ie processes a report) they get a few mod logs. Mod logs are assessed by the administration every month. The logs have already been counted up for July and don't start counting again until August first. Unfortunately it's a script that counts up the logs and it's automatically set to start on the first of each month. This cannot be edited to start on the 28th instead. Thus some staff, not all, are waiting to start moderating reports. It's sort of disappointing, but ultimately staff want to be recognized for their work by the administration.

staff are not paid, anything they do should be accepted with gratitude.

It's not like they won't be dealt with.

We aren't machines, we take the massive influx of reports in stride.

In order to retain our staff position we must meet a monthly quota of logs.

For the reason I just previously stated.

 

Instead of striving for modlogs....haven't you guys just instead considered making exceptions?

For example, tally them up now and then start the log record a week early. It really wouldn't be that difficult and as a word of business it'd be more efficient for the forums.

 

Well we'll just have to wait until next month.

I get that mods don't want to do it until the 1st because then they get credit for it, but what do they get outta it even when they have the most spam/locked threads and stuff?
