How To Live A Life Without Stress

    How~To~Live~A~Life~Without~Stress

If you knew me, I'd be the least stressed person you know. I've most likely been through more in 17 years than you will in 50. I've had sucky grades, my Mom died about two years ago, and do I cry in the corner? No.

The first step to leading a life without stress is to do the cliche "Find out what's bothering you and accept it". I was there when my Mom died. I threw up because my body, let alone my mind couldn't handle it. Did I find the nearest skyscraper and jump off it? No. Death is part of life and needs to be excepted.

In school I've always gotten poor teachers that really could care less what grades they gave me. I'd work hard and it would all blow in my face because I chose to challenge what they were saying instead of basing my knowledge by the book.

Everyone has stress and there are right ways and wrong ways of dealing with it if you wish to become stress free.

Ever feel like pmsing just because you had a bad day? Feel like yelling into a pillow? Why? How does it make you feel better? You're not throwing up your feelings by yelling or punching a pillow. You're covering it up temporarily with nothingness.

The idea behind living a life without stress or even little stress is to rid yourself of stress, not cover it up.

Steaming and venting are two different things. If you steam, you're chilling out and slowly getting rid of your stress.

In order to steam, you need something purely happy. I happy to listen to chill reggae or ska music to lighten my mood and get rid of stress.

Bob Marley is good but some times promotes rage so be picky about what you're listening to.

It's easy enough to tell someone "just ignore it" when you don't have the problem but in reality that's not what you want to do. Ignoring it promotes and advanced form of stress. It just keeps adding on and on and on.

What you want to do is wonder why you care about whatever's bothering you OR how to make your problem better.

If the stress that's bothering you is unfinished school work due tomorrow, get it done and your stress will disappear.

    Magic? No. It's just reality

If you take care of your stress and manage it successfully, you'll be stress free

Seems easy? It is. If you really find yourself needing to release some stress at first, take something squishy and squeeze it for a while. Don't tense up when you squish it, just chill out and squish it.

Very unique guide. One of the best in a while I think, though. Nice work. Perhaps post a few pictures? Because, it is quite a lengthy read.

Haha, same. You might want to lower the font a bit ^_^ Other then that, what you suggested are good ways of getting rid of stress.

What the fuck are you talking about? Bob Marley has never caused me to rage..

And the font gave me a headache. What a silly attempt at trying to relieve my stress.

I give this guide a rating of 2/10. (For Effort)

    What is "pmsing"?

Good guide altogether, helped me a wee bit as i feel quite stressed with exams in little while and teachers bitching at us. You made some valid points about why punching pillow and stuff like that is just pointless. It could also be called "how to cope with anger/stress" as often people should just follow your guide and relax rather than take it out on things/people around them.

However things that could be improved are: font size (didn't all fit on monitor so had to scroll back and forth to the side and back). Also the font colour is yucky to be blunt.

Nice guide, but you forgot about the part where you get a ultra-chill relaxed voice.

Your criticism is much more insulting than it is helpful.

How To Live A Life Without Stress

    • The layout is extremely dull - I was bored reading it after about a third of it.
    • The first great chunk is irrelevant until you get to the part about music helping to relieve stress. The guide is advising on how to live a life without stress, not for rhetorical questions (guides should answer questions, not make them) and talking about yourself as if it were an autobiographical account of your life.
    • The color scheme is very prosaic.
    • The content is certainly questionable. See below for an example.

Not really very good advice, as people's reason for not having completed school work is due to it being too hard, a lack of understanding or a lack of time to actually do it at all.

I can cope with some cheesiness, but this oversteps the line! Why would we ever conceive ''get it done and your stress will disappear'' as anything close to magic?

    Additionally, you repeated yourself:

I also found the lack of any pictures extremely dull, and consequently found the guide hard to go through, as it was unappealing and bland.

Additionally, I'd like to evaluate what can be learned from this thread:
    • Music can reduce stress
    • Squeezing a stress ball can help
    • Do your schoolwork and you won't be stressed

I don't know if I'm the only one, but I certainly didn't learn anything, as the above points are, as far as I'm concerned, common sense.

Whilst this critique may appear very negative, I thought it needed to be made. I am horrified that you were accepted into the User Education team whilst producing guides like this.

How To Live A Life Without Stress

This guide was hard to read, and you didn't learn much anything from it. It's original, but there's alot more to be learned about stress. I was hoping to find something that interests me, because ironically, I'm stressed at the moment. Now, I'm just a little disappointed and even more stressed because I didn't really learn anything. Oh well, I guess it may help some people. Besides the point, if you're going to make a guide, I'd seriously suggest that you construct a better layout - one that's easier to read.

I had to look up QFT. D: At first, I thought it meant quit fucking trolling, haha.
