Didn't magic use to not raise CB Level?

 

Magic raises CB lvl

 

in classik you gained cb at magic at the same time you gained str and att
so you couldnt have a cb of 123 without 99 mage

 

You still can.

99 Attack
99 Defence
99 Strength
99 Prayer
99 Hitpoints
1 Range
1 Mage


That's a combat level 126's stats.

 

yes thats lvl 126 stats but in classik you couldnt have a cb lvl of 123 without 99 mage -.-

why do you care? it only effects now if its higher than ur melee stats or ranged so if youre over 149 combined attack and melee stats then magic will nevr effect your combat except through HP

 

i honestly never gave it thought, but i always thought it didnt :s

 

There are 5 groups of leveling
{Attack and Strength}
{Defence and Hitpoints}
{Prayer}
{Range}
{Mage}

Now to get 126 combat you must have 99 Hitpoints and Defence, 99 Prayer and a choice of either 99 Magic, 99 Range or 99 Attack & Defence.
This took much study but take note it might be incorrect but im pretty sure its right.

 

Its not right
99 Attack & Str gives more Cb than 99 Mage or Range. So if your all (Combat) stats are 99 except Att & Str, You aren't Cb 126

 

I was pretty sure in like the start of RS2, magic didn't raise cb level. I thought it was updated later.

Nope. Back in RSC Magic always raised your combat.

Wrong, no matter what, under ANY circumstances defence and hitpoints level your combat. Whether you have higher range,mage,attack or strength, or prayer.

Nope. It may of seemed like that if your strength and attack here higher than your mage. I've played since the FIRST HOUR of RS2 members only release.
Although in RS-C mage,range,defence,strength,attack,prayer,and hitpoints always raised your combat (unless you just gained that stat then you need 3 more)

 

Magic has always raised your cb level ever since I can remember. The thing that surprised me was when I leveled from raising prayer because I never knew prayer raised it (lol at the time I was a major noob when that happened).

 

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure in RSC, it didn't raise your CB.

 

in classic you didin't get hp from magic and you could get 1 combat per 8magic lvls :S
