Quickly Drawn - MoonGlare

Well i tried drawing this quickly as i didn't want to have to take an hour on it again.

Would have looked better if my pencil was sharper, and i wasn't drawing on lined paper, and my hand was cramping like a mofo.

The R looks like total shit i know that, but how's the design?

[I'm not the best at drawing i picture things in my head amazing, but when i go to put them down, it's not so nice. I tend to make one thing nice one time, if i try and re-create it...it ends up lookin like poop. Anywhom here ya go moon, lemmi know what i should try to do with it]

IMO it looks good up until the L then it just starts to look...bad.

 

The theme you developed with the M and the N should be implemented on the A and the E for more uniformity (I'm talking about the detached middle portion)

Also, I don't know if maybe it's the angle coupled with a warping in the paper, but the letters "ARE" are slanting upwards at the bottom. You should pencil in light guidelines for the top, bottom, and mid-markings for the letters for consistency's sake.

 

Yeah it was kinda going up but my hand was cramping like a mo fo xD didn't realize it till it was finished but it's the concept i'm trying to get looked at..

EDIT: What would i do to it, to remove that ugly space between the G and the L

 

The 'M' and 'N' stand out. Might take the 'M' into photoshop and fool around with and and post back here :3 Thanks for this though babe <3

Don't really think it's as good as your other one, from 'M' - 'G' it flows nicely and has a nice order but after that, as you said, it looses it's consistency.

 

Yeah, i did try drawing this one faster tho so not as much thought or time was put in it. But i still thing the M-g turned out nice

Is it just me or do the letters seem to start getting smaller and smaller towards the end? good effort, needs some tweaks.

 

I'd suggest the opposite. As someone that does an art-based degree I only ever use rulers for measurements.

 

Yeah definitely. Only use instruments for a final design, not for concept sketches. Sketches are meant to be freehand for a reason.
OP, you should look into construction boxes, this will help to keep your letters in a straight line and the same scale.

 

wtf is a construction box i got photoshop but i'm still waiting to get it onto my pc...so hopefully i'm able to start learning a bit how to use it...
