    Repressing Rage

    hey guys ive noticed i keep All of my Rage to myself but if something bothers me when im pent up full of it i snap i Lose it i dont want to hurt anything or anybody
    because i Punch things when im angry, do you guys have any suggestions on how i could stop me Building up all this rage and Snapping?

    I'm guessing you're a teenager?

    Almost everybody feels this at some point. If you are able to isolate your anger into punching an inanimate object, there is nothing wrong. The point you have a problem is when you can't contain your anger and you lash out at other people.

    So don't worry, it's pretty normal for people to build up anger like this. If you really think you have a problem controlling yourself you should ask your parents to take you to a doctor, but at this point you're fine.

    Well, To be quite honest, I've had this same problem in my teen years. However this is something only you can change! When you start having these bad consequence you'll learn. But i'd suggest to have good outlets to express your feelings like boxing, working out and etc. But i wish you luck and hope you that you'll learn how to manage this before something bad occours

    I have a very, very loose temper. This is what I do when I am faced with a situation that edges me on:
    1. Assess the situation
    2. Who/what is causing this to happen?
    3. Why is it happening?
    4. Is the person I am about to explode on really worth doing that to?

    But sometimes the problem is just too big, at which point I leave the scene. The mind is a strong thing.

    Im gonna post on this because I know how you feel first hand. I have been boxing for 4 years, quit last year. Ive noticed I rage alot more than normal. So what i did was went out bought a punching bag and a weight set. Took out all my anger on working out/lifting. Now this brings up 1 problem. If you cannot control your anger and you workout alot, once you snap its gameover. And the bigger you are, the worse it will be. I had a battery charge when i was 16 years old. Broke an eye socket nose and jaw. Fought the charge my school filed on me. Friend that i fucked up told the hospital he fell off the trampoline onto cement head first. Just find not soo much as a happy place but just be careful who you hang around with. Avoid some meds like adderall or anything that speeds you up. Im on this shit now and it makes me really passive. Or smoke pot. :p

    Hell I still have those anger problems, buy a punching bag and just knock the dog piss out of it whenever you get pissed. Or sign up for matial arts (what I did) and you can do all sorts of fun stuff with anger. go outside and start throwing rocks at trees, breaking sticks, or if you get really pissed off scream at a tree saying you are going to kill the sorry sack of miserable shit and throw whatever you can find at it.

    I did not post this to give "gay" suggestions. I have / still am going through anger problems. Join some sort of karate club and it will help majorly.
