Opening statement in a mock trial [Civil Case]

Well im studying law in highschool at a technical school and whatnot and i need to create an opening statement for a mocktrial dealing with Dredscott v. Missouri. I have all the information i just need the format for civil cases. I know how to open in criminal cases but i was wondering if there are any law people here that know if opening statements in civil cases differ.

Civil suits (tortes) have the same opening statement process. State your case, introduce your facts and witnesses, and paint a clear objective you have in the trial.
