Questions regarding Botting

Hello Sythe!
I had a few questions regarding botting and how some of it works, as well as staying safe. I did look around both on here and on Runemate before organizing these questions so hopefully I'm not doubling down on already mentioned subjects. Did my best to do my own studying.


1.) So is every ip your main has logged into compromised? For example if I was botting at an internet cafe or Starbucks that in the past I've logged into on my main, and if I received an ip ban there, would my main also get banned because I've used it there before w/o a VPN or VPS active? The difference being this is a public network and not a private home network.

2.) If you are planning on gold farming, is it the amount of time you spend botting or the amount of time you spend doing the exact same thing that typically gets you caught? E.G: You could bot for 4-5 hours doing wines, or you could bot 4-5 hours doing some wines and then 3-4 miscellaneous tasks. Which would more likely get you caught?

3.) Which is detected faster? An autoclicker or a botting program? Moreover is there anything specific an autoclicker is better for over a botting script? I'm not asking for your moneymaking methods, I am just asking if there's something or an example you can use for what you found is better or worse.

4.) Regarding chain bans, are your accounts also traceable if you affiliate them with any sort of group or clan in the game? E.G: An fc or cc full of bot accounts.

5.) How do custom bots work? Is the coding language that most or all of rs3's botting programs based on Java? How would I go about ordering a custom one? (Someday perhaps anyway)

6.) Does Jagex have any way of tracking botted gp? Once upon a time I thought I heard of somebody getting banned for possessing botted gold. But this was a rumor I was seeing at G.E so take that as you will tbh....Pointblank I wouldn't want to trade some to say my main if it's traceable beyond the trade transaction itself.

Out of 6 questions you.....sort of? Answered question #2. While the quality of the answer was about as helpful as a hedgehog in a condom factory I'll admit, at least you replied with something...So thanks.

My guess at this point is I'm either asking questions nobody has the answers to, or I'm asking too many at one time and thus it'd take someone too long to respond. "Not look like a bot" ....Well no shit lol. I'm looking for a few finer distinctions about botting and keeping your accounts safe. Specific questions I didn't see any answers for elsewhere. But lets compromise and say question #2 is resolved....Only 5 more to go I suppose.

 

1) Im not sure but I doubt they would chain ban every account that used a singular ip. They would atleast make sure. If som1 was botting in jagex hq, would they ban everyone? No.

2) Its definitely about spending the time doing the same thing. Theres a ytber that is doing a series. Max with botting. Called wildy ... something

3) I've autoclicked all my accounts for high alchin for mage. Haven't gotten banned. They mostly ban botters because real players actually report them or its just easy to detect.

4) Being affiliated by someone will probably not get you chain-banned because they did something. However, there was an instance where two big dicers got chainbanned because they were both illicit.


5 and 6) I am pretty sure people use python. I heard its the language for automation. I heard jagex logs trades.

 

1) That's not how it works, it's not an automated system with that. They'd review it and if there's 50 accounts from that IP, they can look into the other accounts, see if they're all bots and eventually realize they are all bots and ban them. In regards to Starbucks, they'd look at 50 and see they're not all bots/doing money-making shit and playing ridiculous hours.

People don't play too long at public locations/shared locations.

2) You're more likely to be banned if you only ever do 1 moneymaking task at all times. Reason being most humans don't do that.

3) Autoclicker is less detectable than any bot if you replay a recording for 6 hours, it's essentially a dumb private bot. But if your autoclicker gets stuck then you are fucked and will get fucked.

4) Not sure what this means at all or the point of it.

5) Depends on botting client, two most popular ones have APIs with Java

6) Of course they can track it. If you have 50 accounts giving to 1 mule then it's obvious. If you run a couple of accounts they won't look into it much but if you run a huge farm they will.
