Question regarding display names.

I just changed my display name. How long do I have to wait before I can get this display name on another account?

 

Okay, let's use 'Powaa' as an example. You have an account with 'Powaa' as the display name on it. Now, you want to know how long you'll have to wait until you can use this name on another account, did I catch that right?

Well, I'm not completely sure but I assume that you can transfer the name only after the name is not being used anymore. So, to use it on another account, you'll have to change the name on the account that is currently using it. You'll have to wait for a month to change it again if you just set the name recently. Once it becomes available, try setting 'Powaa' as your display name on your other account.

 

Damn, I have to wait a whole month. Well I actually sold a display name, and he can't get it. So I'm sorta fucked atm.

I believe it's 28 days, however, if you don't want to wait, you can either e-mail "[email protected]" and say someone else changed it without your consent or you can use the thread in the "Contact Us" or w/e section on the RuneScape forums.
