    How do I do this?

I have received a file from my client that I suspect is infected.
Is it possible to create a new account on my operating system - Windows 7 professional 64 bit, make it a test account, so nothing that I do there will be transfered to my main account, and then download the infected file from external source, run it and by doing so, check if it's infected or not, and if I'm positive that it's infected, I can delete the test account that I created, without any harm done to main account I'm currently using?

Please, answer me asap, and I'd highly appreciate linking me to any guide regarding this case.

Don't tell me to scan with jotti etc, already done it, and I know that there are keyloggers that are undetectable, in fact, my friend got infected by one so.
I just need info regarding my question, I will need it in future anyway.

Upload it to https://www.virustotal.com/ for the best scan results.

Alternatively, you will need a virtual machine to open the file and not risk your computer. DON'T just simply open it on another user that will be useless.

    I would recommend: https://www.virtualbox.org/

Try a virtual machine, doing so with another account as you said won't help as its still your PC and it would probably be transferred over, i recommend you not opening it ^.^, also try it on a Virus scan page.

This is the best alternative that you can find and Nytrix have summed it up quite nicely.

Do not ever open any suspicious file on your own PC even if you are on another user.
