    Question for Atheists

Many of you ask how a god cannot exist, but can you please show me some evidence of how a god cannot exist?

    Thank you.

    Question for Atheists

Things that do not exist do not produce evidence of their non-existence. For example, there is no evidence that I wasn't molested as a child, so should it be taken as an unknown?

This seems to be a good topic for SFA. Moved, etc.

    Question for Atheists

That made no sense, but I think I know what you're asking.

Instead of us showing you how something doesn't exist, because there is next to no way possible, please provide evidence of a god EXISTING.

    Question for Atheists

wow that is an awesome sentence

A God can exist, but the ideas of a God that are conceived by humans can be easily disproved with logic. But as of now there is as much evidence for a God as there is for the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

    Question for Atheists

"One might be asked "How can you prove that a god does not exist?" One can only reply that it is scarcely necessary to disprove what has never been proved." - David A. Spitz

last time i posted that quote SOMEONE flamed me...

But yea, no one can prove the existance of a god or the nonexistance. One can use logic to realize the more likely of the two.

and here's a new quote to get flamed over..."Philosophy is questions that may never be answered. Religion is answers that may never be questioned." - Author Unknown

    Question for Atheists

If there is a god, he is a fucking asshole. He gives me a "choice" to believe whatever I want, but if I pick the logical choice I die and burn in a fire pit for all eternity.

And he's all knowing. He knows I'm only human and I am going to pick the logical choice, but he won't change my mind (he's all powerful, right?) because "he loves me". He loves me? What kind of sick fuck would let their children (thats what we are, right?) make a mistake and not try to lead me back on the right path?

    Question for Atheists

Believing in god is like believing in that unicorn in my back yard. You cannot prove god. Simple. Also, god will never exists, because for it to be true, has to be scientifically explained. You cannot explain the paranormal.

    edit/

you know what else is bullshit? You can sin, and ask for forgiveness. So you can do anything you want and get away with it, so you are going to a place called "heaven"

    Question for Atheists

To vary from Shredders logic, you can put it for example; because you don't think God has interacted with you, you don't believe in it. Another example would be, that you were drugged and molested as a child and never found out about it and deny it happened. Basically what this means is, what you don't see might be.

    Question for Atheists

actually, when i was 10 i went to church. I always asked myself why should i believe in this? You know the answer i got? if you dont believe in god, your going to hell.

so i think that the only reason people believe in god is because they dont want to spend eternity in hell.

    Question for Atheists

You have a good point there, if someone can't explain religion with real logic and science, they shouldn't be explaining it at all. What may be true to them, may not be true to others so maybe they should reason their beliefs before forcibly shoving it down their throats. Those like the Roman Catholic Church or Fundamentalist Muslims aren't doing any real good for showing people the truth because they can't prove it themselves... So their reasoning is just striking fear...?

    Question for Atheists

What I don't see is definitely logically possible, but do we assume that there's a reasonable chance of it being the case? I see no reason to believe that the universe is 100 years old, or that my roommates are planning to stab me in my sleep, yet do you or I accept those as valid possibilities? Hardly.

    Question for Atheists

Well, there are few people who are still alive who were there a 100 years ago so they could tell you, and people can't read each others minds so you couldn't know. But, what there is a small chance for doesn't neccessarily mean it can't be...
