Is botting on OSRS dead?

I personally believe it's become much harder to bot. Comparing it to 5 years ago, I achieved multiple 99's and basically got 1300+ total level from botting.

Now, I'm lucky to achieve 70 range without being banned. I've definately been IP flagged, cause I'm hit with a perm on every account I bot straight up and thats with premium bots. But, anyway... I'd like to hear your stories, what you have achieved with botting on OSRS? What bot do you use?

 

Much harder. But still very profitable and still very doable. People are still making money from goldfarming, and people still make money from botting accounts from scratch until they have good enough stats to be sold.

Botting difficulty increases = less botters = more opportunities

EDIT: months ago I managed to bot my pure to 90+ ranged and a couple of skills to 50+. You just have to be cautious and not be greedy with the exp.

 

It is not dead but it is dead for the "average" player who doesn't aim to goldfarm and just wants to max. Gone are the days that you could get all 99s botting.

I tried botting a skiller this week and it was already banned (14 year old noob account on RS3 that I used to make a 07 skiller on)

Osbot and a whole bunch. My mistake was accidentally leaving on a thieving script for 9 hours, that was a rookie mistake.

 

I'm currently using OsBot now, using the sand crab bot.

I'm only botting 2hours a day, out of Jagex hours... will keep you posted how I go!

Using public scripts is most likely going to get you banned, you're going to have more luck with private ones.

 

I've did both, I used one account with mixed free/premiums which lasted me a month before I was perm banned, and then I made another one with only premium bots and got banned within 3 weeks.

 

account age can also be a factor when taking about banrates

 

I dont get how all you get banned in a day or two or three lmao, 24 hours and jagex fucks me

 

ur prolly doing something wrong, botting takes time and although ur not doing jackshit n the bot is doing the in-game 'work' for u, there are still a lot of preemptive measures that must be taken

I do it, just took some time and dedication. Most everything I learned was on my own as the community is shit these days. No one gives out information that is solid or valuable. Unless it's the most basic of information.
