    Question about VPN and Accounts

Hello, I would like to understand with the more veterans if, for example, I use several accounts, each one closing the client and always connecting a specific VPN, could there be a chance of a chain ban or something like that? in case they get the computer identifier or something like that, in short I want to merge several accounts each using a different IP, and as I said I will always close the client to connect again

    Question about VPN and Accounts

    Hey.

VPNs are not detectable, they protect against identifying by network data, like IP address.

That said, as you say Jagex can detect you by identifying the computer you are running. OSRS is a Java program, which has access to file writing and reading, so all the client needs to do is save a file in between program uses and read it again.

One way of protecting against this would be assigning creating a windows user for each RS account, and restricting read and write access to specific folders. It is still possible to detect though. This is roughly equivalent to using proxies.

A more military-grade technology would be virtual machines, which is what computer scientists and engineers use for security reasons. Not only is it impossible (or very expensive) for one virtual machine to leak into the main computer or another virtual machine, but it is often impossible to detect whether one is a virtual machine. This is more like a VPN in terms of quality.

So in short, use a virtual machine and a VPN and you are safe. You can even connect the VPN on the host machine so that the guest machine is unaware of a VPN. That's the gold standard.

Speak to your VPN provider to set this up, they may even hook you up with a VPS, which runs on a server instead of your own machine.
