    Not Legally Binding

Your website requires members to be over the age of 13, and write their name binding them to the statement that they will not scam.

You cannot legally sign a contract under US law under the age of 18.

You do have a point... Directed @ Sythe, himself. I suggest that you change the registration agreement accordingly.

    You are very wrong,

If someone under the age of 18 signs a legally binding contract and disobeys the contract, the parents (or legal guardians) are held responsible and the law treats it as if the parents signed the contract, all of you kids out there who think you are pulling a fast one on this site and the law, note that your parents could be sued for any of your mistakes.

Let's say some kid decides he is going to scam someone on ebay, so he goes on there, makes a new account (which signs a contract saying you cannot scam anyone), and scams some innocent person. The parents of the minor can be sued for their child's actions, and can be punished for not watching what their child is doing.

I think moral punishment should be enough for all of the geeks who scam for pixels, but thats just not the case :|.
Also, I think the main reason for that is to scare people.

This is true but it only refers to legally binding contracts with the consent of an adult. If no adult is present then it's not legally binding. and thus fails.

True. The contract isn't legally binding unless the minor had the consent of the guardian, in which case the guardian is responsible. However, the contract is there mainly as a deterrence.

The guardian must co-sign or co-bind or w/e for that to work.
Yes, they can be sued, but they can not get into contracts without a legal guardian about 18 co-signing.
