To those who were rollback'd

I posted this thread on the forums after contacting a jmod directly in the clan leaders forum section. There was a rollback on Friday afternoon shortly after 8. It only occured on worlds 64, 79, and another I think. My account along with lots more were frozen ingame whilst the server was down. Those servers were then rollback'd about 30 minutes. The rollback actually happened because that pro nex team (forgot name) bitched on forums during event in w79. All 200 of em or so. I personally lost a mystic tattoo..some people lost hundreds of mils (one guy got money from friend but since friend went back to non-offline world, when rollback happened, gp disappeared)..another guy lost pernix chap drop..So my thread on RSOF is jagex's response

Tl;dr: jagex had small rollback on select worlds, people lost their shit

They can't do anything, and jagex won't care either.

Jagex are not in the habit of showing any remorse for their actions when they do things like this. (happened to me once before, only lost a bit of smithing exp though )

Well, if you're in Jagex's shoes, there is nothing much you can do if the server went down and rolling back is the best way to bring it back online.

 

I dont see how a tech based company cannot just check their records, see what people had and give it them back.

 

you're talking about the thousands of players aka "bots" that were on that time ?
and It's just a game no reason to rage when rolled back like a couple of hours.

 

Rollback already happened. Only affected the worlds that OP posted.

When a few legit people lose 100m+ ($60).. I think I would personally rage.. would you mind throwing away $60?.. I personally lost a lucky zamorak spear..

 

Unlucky man, feel bad for you, but sometimes shit like this happens; can't say I'm not happy it didn't happen to me though!

Rollbacks just suck, it only usually has a huge effect on a few people, but still.

 

They can't really compensate for much, it's hard to know who lost what.

Would have been annoyed if I lost some items, but I would have just got on with it. No point being annoyed if I know I wouldn't be able to get it back.
