    Question about PayPal.

If i sold something through PayPal and the buyer put in notes that he promises not to charge back would paypal still do a chargeback if they disputed the payment?

    Thanks

    Question about PayPal.

There is always a chance Paypal will return the money to him.
Did he send it as a gift?

    Question about PayPal.

YES!...it can be charged back and YES paypal will almost 100% give him his money back...

I recently sold someone RSGP for 16.50USD in two 8.25USD payments, both sent as a gift with a note not to charge back and that it was for virtual gold...20 minutes later he filed a dispute and said it was an unauthorized payment...I sent in all the evidence I had to paypal..I ended up losing the case and being minues 7.50CAD (Bought membership for an rs account right after selling, before the charge back)..

Also, that is after having a premier account for over 6 years with thousands of transactions, with no problem ever...I still lost the case...All they have to do is make the payment with another IP and BAM...easy to say it was unauthorized payment..

    Question about PayPal.

It's kind of difficult to say with paypal.
But what the above post said is kind of correct.
He could use a proxy to file in a dispute, and paypal would use that as evidence.
But as long as you provide solid proof of you delivering the Gold (in the case that he put Virtual Gold for note), you have a chance. But paypal is always hard to tell.

    Question about PayPal.

You posted it in "Something for All", which would be the wrong subsection in the Off Topic section.

    Question about PayPal.

Wrong section, however I'll answer your question. The note protects against a goods chargeback but not aganist an unauthorized chargeback(the person claims it was someone else who sent the payment).
