December ruin's pking ​

It's that time of the year again, When Jagex decides to mess up pking some more! With the new dragon defender coming
out all the mage's and ranger's are crying! And the new damage soaking update will be sure to devistate all the 1 def pures.

Spirit shield? Gonna crash hard because everyones getting damage soaks.
DFS? Bai, The dragon defender will have a better str bonus probably.
Discuss.

 

Damage soaking is just an addition to defense, things will be no different.

 

Pure's will be useless think about it.

 

They did say High level defense, so maybe it only affects 60 def +?
there is still a hope =)

Thank god I picked giving my zerker membership a month ago over my pure

 

im not very sure if 45 defence would give you a game changing damage soak % anyway.. im thinking 65 - 75+ is where it starts making a difference [nezzy pure ftw ;3]

 

Maybe my main will actually be able to pk now :love:

claw rushers vs 99 def = failed rush 99.9% of the time

claws will crash very hard

1 def pures will be obsolete

if its like dg; damage soaking will not be like divine/ely effects; the dg shields only soak UP TO 10%/20%, not always 10%/20%, usually is less; divine is 100% reduction of 30% damage, ely is when the effect activates, gives 100% chance of 25% reduction

if they make it like dg shields; spirit shields will hold some value
if they make soaking like divine/ely; divine/ely will be the most expensive junk in the ge

 

dont get ahead of yourself, the damage soak is sure to be minuscule when compared to SS's. they would not add anything that would make such a radical change as to make divine/elly obsolete.

 

you know they hate merchants, look at the prices of spirit shields, and their street prices, so, i highly doubt they want the spirit shield merch to go on


while ago, they killed a smokin mils merch of granite maces

 

In the beginning it will definitely drop prices of shields, as new content that is free is always the better choice for the majority of the RS community

 

Can't wait for the dragon defender

 

Shields have been able to absorb damage for a long time... I don't see how this update would change their prices a whole lot?
