$2000 dropped on a new PC

I just bought a Dell XPS 9000, 8GB memory (RAM, same thing right?) and 1 TB hard drive.

Can anyone explain to me what I'll be gaining over what I'm running now, a 1.5gb memory, 320gb hard drive? Right now Runescape runs smoothly at everything lowest (for botting purposes) with hiccups everynow and then. I went to Windows task manager and look in the Performance tab and it says I'm using 860mb out of my 1500mb running two rsbots, windows task manager, and google chrome with two tabs. So, If I'm running THREE rsbots, a google chrome with 3+ tabs, windows task manager, and a private server or two PKing with a good size population, like one botting and one playing, can anyone give me an idea about how many mb out of my 8000mb I'll be using? Will it run smoothly?Oh yeah and I'll be running windows xp.

By the way, I didn't just like have 2 grand sitting around, I sold a dirt bike which I'm not racing anymore (I only race 125-250cc, and 250-450cc, both mx and enduro. I sold my Ktm 85 which I didn't race anymore and my Ktm 300 which I didn't race because I didn't like the bike). So I didn't just have $2000 sitting around in cash. I had to downsize.

 

I doubt you'll lag... I own a Core i7 920 myself and it's quite good. Radeon 4870 isn't a bad graphics card either, so you shouldn't lag so long as you play on safe mode. I don't know exactly how much RAM will be used, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I botted on two accounts at once and played Crysis (maxed settings at 21.5" res) at the same time with 6GB memory and a 4890. The advantage of your current system is that you can play some other PC games, multi-task, etc while botting.

I like custom builds better though.
