Question About Donation

What happens if I let someone pay me by having them donate to sythe on behalf of my name? Like they donate X$ on behalf of my name, and I consider it a payment, and then they dispute, would I just have my rank taken off, or I would be banned? Im curious because I don't want to get in trouble for someone elses actions.

 

Not sure, I've donated for others, if they dispute it I'll ban them. I'd assume you'd be fine because if that was the case people trying to get people banned would do that.

 

If someone donates in your behalf and they dispute it, they get banned.

The ID of the donation is yours, but the transaction is marked against his ID.

So you are fine from being banned, I don't know about the rank though.

Well, you would obviously lose the rank. The money has been taken back, so technically you're not a donator at that point. If you're super paranoid of someone chargebacking you after donating, you could ask a member of staff or an OMM or something to donate for you.

Just use someone trusted and this scenario will never happen...

 

It was stated somewhere the other week that the donor rank would just be removed, as otherwise if I really hated a member I could donate $500 for them, charge it back, and even though I'd get banned, they would, and then they'd have to pay back $500 before they get unbanned. Wouldn't make sense to have that policy.
