    Question about burn speed (e.g 2.4x, 4x)

What determines the burn speed you are capable of burning at?

Is it the CD itself or the hardware of the burner?

    Thanks

It depends how much RAM you've got, what other programs are running, and how many files you are burning.

If you are burning a ton of small files to a CD it'll make it go slower.

I recommend setting it at an ISO then burning it.

Both the type of disk and the burner are factors when it comes to burning.

Keep in mind that between disks of different type, such as normal CD's and DVD's, the multiple of X that measures the speed isn't the same.
