Why Are Staff Vouches Always Being Shown Off ?

It's like saying...
"I went first in a trade to this super trusted person and he paid me after he got his goods."

I just don't get it, if I were to scam it surelywould not be a staff member but some leecher that joined yesterday.

 

True, people just think it means something when in reality it doesn't same as any other trade.

 

Funny part is they always went first and had zero trust gained from them.....

 

Agreed, ofcourse he vouches you if you didn't scam him.
As any other member would vouch you to.
How is a vouch from a a staff/Omm more worth then another, i just made a good trade, and got the vouch, nothing special about it in my opinion.

 

I think it's more of the ranks they can put on the vouch. I always like to see somebody like an omm/mod trade somebody if I plan to. It really comes into effect if there's some kind of risk on the line; I don't mean going first.

If a Mod/OMM/Admin sells through PayPal to a guy a few months ago, I general feel it's okay to sell to him through PayPal. I don't automatically take it if a mod/omm/admin takes it, but it really helps. Not just because of the rank, but more because, their obviously going to get them banned if they even attempt to scam.

This rule goes for accounts and what not generally as well.

 

In terms of vouches, its quality over quantity in my opinion.
I would much rather trade with someone who had 100 vouches from newcomers then 1 vouch from....firez.

They think it gains them A LOOTTA trust but it dont do shit.

 

It's like flashing off a bunch of ranks to new people - they don't really understand it, but they're still amazed by it.

The real trust is when a staff member goes first to you, which proves that the staff member trusts you enough for a trade.

It doesn't mean anything if you go first, as that means you're just licking the staff member's boots - but if a staff member goes first to you for, let's say, a service, THEN you're trusted, for sure.

 

Kinda obvious answer... staff vouches look better but don't necessarily mean you're trusted.

 

Most of my staff/ex-staff vouches are staff members showing legitimate trust for me, and not vouches when I just went first to them. That is why I display them so prominently.

 

So if a new member does business with a staff member for a few mil, does not scam him.

Then does business with someone else, scams them and says "Well, I've got a vouch from a staff, who are you going to believe".

A vouch from FireZ shows no sign of trust if you went first. Only because everyone knows he will do his part in the trade.

Still looks appealing to new people though
