Man confesses to killing son, gets 20 months

Found it depressing how a man killed his son and got 20 months..how the hell did that happen

(CNN) -- A New Jersey judge approved a plea deal that will set free a man who admitted to murdering his 2-year-old son 17 years ago despite a tearful appeal from the child's mother in court on Friday morning.

Curtis Williams confessed to beating his son Curtis McCoy to death, after claiming for 16 years to having lost the child while shopping in Newark.

Williams told prosecutors where he buried the body in exchange for a plea deal that would set him free with time served -- only 20 months in prison.

Official: Terror plot against U.S. facilities prompted Germany warning

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A senior federal official told CNN Friday about a discovery that led U.S. officials to increase security in Germany last month: An alleged plot by a group of Islamic extremists against U.S. facilities in the country.

While many U.S. and German officials were quick to say there has been no new information since then, Friday marked the first time information leading to that raised security level was released.

The official, who insisted on anonymity, said the plot was in the advanced planning states, and included the use of bombs and small arms against U.S. facilities -- possibly military facilities.

The State Department, in a warden message April 20, said, "U.S. diplomatic and consular facilities in Germany are increasing their security posture. We are taking these steps in response to a heightened threat situation."

But U.S. military facilities in the country did not increase their security level. A military spokesman said the headquarters in Germany, at Patch Barrack in Stuttgart, remains at force protection level "Bravo," which means "threat of terrorist activity exists," but does not indicate a likelihood of activity. What the government has to understand is...well - example

A kid [Teens] go into a high school and let's say kills 10 people.

First, they decide if he's tried as an adult, life in prison, or juvie, until 21.

There's just one thing they forget though, and a big question - WHY DO YOU THINK HE WOULD SHOOT THEM?

Jail simply won't solve it. It was probably due to bullying etc in school, and going in jail won't help that one kid overcome those mental challenges. People just never ask why.
