Quickest Way to 85 Mining?

Currently I am power mining iron ore. Is there anything faster onwards to 85?

 

Around level 65-70 you should move onto Granite in the desert. Remember to wear the white overalls and bring waterskins.

 

What kind of xp/hour is that?

Granite is the best in '07, should be about 50K-70K xp/hr

 

I can vouch for powermining granite, I used that to get 85 mining back in 07. Quite a lot of people there back then, I assume that this time around it'll be a while before word gets out.

 

I have a rune pick from a clue scroll I'll sell ya if you need it.

And I did granite to 85.

For powermining in the desert there are no requirements, but I'd recommend wearing desert robes and taking waterskins. You need them. Most people take a near full invent of waterskins and camp there dropping the granite.

If you did the questing needed for an enchanted water tiara you could camp there indefinitely as you never need waterskins.

 

Enchanted Water Tiara came out in 2008 so no, you can't use it. Even if you could however, the water runes that are inside it get used up quite quickly and would be really costly in 07 scape.
