Does amount of time passed affect your chances of a ban?

I couldn't find any similar questions like these.
Hopefully they can be answered and made available for others to see your opinions/experiences.

    1. In RS2007, is it possible to be banned for previous RWT on your account back in RS2/EOC/RS3?

    2. If you are not banned within two weeks to a month after the trade/transfer, are you safe forever?

    3. What are the odds that Jagex will discover your previous transactions(anywhere from a month to 2+ years ago)?

    4. Are RWT trades eventually covered up by normal trading?

    5. Are famous/popular RS2007 streamers and individuals more likely to be randomly investigated?

    6. Besides being dumb(bragging/telling people ingame that you rwt*) or trading a buyer/seller that is flagged, what other things would give Jagex reason to investigate your account?

Most of these questions are opinion based or personal experiences, but be sure to post some evidence(if applicable) in your comment to support your claims.

Does amount of time passed affect your chances of a ban?

    1. No. If you get banned for rwt, it's because you did so recently.

    2. No. They do monitor accounts to reassure their decision.

    3. I doubt they would check your account status history from a different game version. Let's say they do. Using that information as an indicator is inefficient for two reasons.

    a) Negative influence = Circular reasoning
Because you did "x" you're also likely to do "x
Although it's possible, it's not a good way to determine what you're actually doing

    b) There are no conditional bans that come from another game version. If you get banned for botting, it's because you botted recently. If you get banned for rwt, it's because you did so recently. (This is only respective to the game version you did these things on)

4.There is no certainty of that.

    5. Not unless they're suspected of breaking the game rules.

    6. Why would showing off your gold warrant an investigation?

nobody can say because nobody knows how they investigate. if everyone knew it would be a lot easier to avoid

Thanks for answering my questions! ^_^ I changed question #6 because it was too vague.

If anyone else has similar answers or opposing ones, feel free to comment. I'd like to get a few different viewpoints so that I will have more conclusive information.

Buyers are almost never banned. Jagex attempts to hit the sellers (who lose thousands) after any encounter. If you're doing one or so transactions that are <500m, <1 month, you're safe with the current gaming policy.

Thanks for the reassurances, Nick! I can't even afford to buy 100m right now, let alone more than 500m. 25-50m once/twice a month should keep me content for now. :)

This is true. If you RWT recently and are thinking about RWTing again soon, your ban chances are higher. Make sure you throw items in the trade and make sure you don't trade bills a day.

Unless there is a jagex mod on this no one will know the certain answer.

People have been RWT'ing for years now.
The numbers mentioned in this thread should be pretty accurate.

They can ban you even after 4 months after you have broken the rule. I have personally experienced a 4 months delay, but it could even be more.
