    U.S. Government Shutdown the 8th?
    So.. ive read that the government will shutdown on april 8.
    This is bad news for me - cause I will no longer get paid - as im in the army.
    What does everyone think about this?

    I personally like how these old gray haired men who think they know whats good for the country are tearing this country apart.

    It's just when the government stops providing non-essential services because they can't decide on a budget. Only essential employees can work. You might not be able to get passports. Only really scary if you work in a job you won't get to get paid for. The US has had several national and state shutdowns before.

    All the agencies have plans so that if it does happen they can continue operating. Services just may be delayed. I doubt it is going to happen. It will hurt both parties if it does.

    I honestly doubt it will happen. Im sure it was just a consideration. But i could be wrong they might do it. Would be pretty messed up if it did!

    A shutdown won't affect the military you can count on that.
    It would affect people like postworkers and social workers.
