Paying System ( F2P , P2P ....etc )

Okey . I think no one wondered about this yet while it's very important .
What the paying system will be . There are many coices we got here .

1 - The game can be P2P only like WOW and u get access to everything as long as u paid to play . It will be an amount / month , year .
EX : WOW
Advantage :All ppl will be equal . No one will be betta than other in the world and all players will pay fairly .
Disadvantage : Many ppl won't be able to pay monthly and the game has to be really good to attract players to play monthly .

2 - The game can be P2P only but with another system . U can pay to buy a version of the game . There will be a new version every 6 or 7 months . So , U will have to pay for the next version every 6 or 7 months and enjoy playing .
EX : Guild Wars .
Advantage : All ppl will be equal . No one will be betta than other in the world and all players will play fairly .(Same as above ) and more of that it won't be really hard on players to play . like it won't cost them a lot. It will be cheap and interesting .
Disadvantages : That u will have to pay to play . Many ppl will want to try it first and we can get over this by giving anyone 30 days trial . Another thing , it won't earn as much as other ways .

3 - F2P and P2P . All of us know it from Runescape and u can play F2P or get more advantages by paying . No need to explain as all of us already know it.
EX : Runescape
Advantage : Ppl can play it for free . Many ppl will like that . If it was good , ppl will happily pay to play.
Disadvantages : There will be abig hole between Free players and Members as some ppl will be really higher than others .

4 - This one I made and I always like getting the best from everything . We can separate the game into free worlds and member worlds . Free players can't go to member worlds or Member players can't go to free worlds. Then we can separate between high levels and low levels but makin it Realm game. Players choose a world and they can't go through worlds with same character. So high levels will stick to their worlds and low levels will always new worlds to play in. So it will be a mix between RS and WOW.
Ex : Our game I think
Advantage : Will give all players equal chances and fair competition no matter Free or Member , High or Low . If it was good enough it will make very good profit.
Disadvantage :

I believe free and p2p, as we are all helping to make the game(Giving our ideas), we should all get a choice to play for free.

 

exactly as someone already tried this idea it is unfair you should never let money run a game unless its nearly perfect

 

I think 2, but how would we buy the new version? Online an then he'd mail it to us? Or provide download inks to surscribed members that payed?

I also like the whole f2p/p2p idea too.

 

Like Runescape or Choose 4 . Both of them are free 2 play and P2P

This can be easily made. Very simple example is using a key . When u enter the key , u got ur membership started.

 

ftp and p2p is way better way.

 

I believe number 4 has a large flaw, p2p cant go in f2p, so u can not go see ur f2p friends and help em out.

 

But then experienced hackers/crackers can get the key and get the game for free..

i think they should have a beta version out for about a month or so to get feed back then start charging for p2p and have f2p for people who don't wanna jump right into p2p yet because i know id like to try f2p so if the graphics/game play are not to taste i don't lose or gain anything

 

I think the runescape way is best because you get a trail on it.
But i think you should only get 30 days on f2p

 

why should people that pay(a.k.a. members) not have a higher advantage than f2p people? I think option 4 is just a bunch of b.s.

I'm just saying there are actual people out there that are smarter then you (believe it or not) that can crack through the system and find the algorithm that generates the keys and then put out a keygen. So I was just pointing out a possible flaw in the key system of paying.

 

I like the way RuneScape has it set up. There are free to play worlds, and pay to play worlds. P2P get special benefits of paying, and can go anywhere and do anything they want. F2P are restricted to certain worlds/items etc.

 

I don't quite understand the last one but if I'm getting it right there should be some way to change worlds but only if your like a certain level. Thats the one I voted for just so it won't be some much like Runescape, Other wise i would go for f2p/p2p.

 

you would want to charge less than runescape so you get more members

 

I think we should do it like WoW by using monthly fees. But also have a demo like WoW's.

 

The last one is a little ify... the advatage of having high level players is to get thing low lvl players cant so if you seperate its much slower game = no good

 

Free players and paying players be meshed in one world.
Example: Anarchy online
The reason this is good is because free players can see what p2p can do, what weapons they have, their advantages, etc.
