New Firecape?

So.. apparently new Jad after you beat original Jad and new firecape with +8 Strength bonus? Heard talk of it in a video. Can anyone confirm?

 

I've certain tons of rumors about this as well (never heard of the +8 STR bonus though).

Unless Jagex has mentioned it in a Monthly Preview thing, who knows.

It's confirmed above - but what I do question still is whether or not you have to sacrifice your Firecape once and only ever once, or sacrifice one every time you enter the Fight Kiln. I'm leaning towards the former, but they could have worded it better

Definitely! I'm looking forward to this update a lot ^_^ It's about time some brand new challenging content was introduced with high level, as well as guaranteed, equipment. Coupled with the graphical revamp, it's going to be magic.
I've already stocked up on about 500M RSGP worth of Armadyl and Dragon armour in anticipation of the Graphical rework of them - prices should spike quite a bit at the beginning

Wow! That is an incredibly interesting post Alt, thanks for that info! People in my clan have been talking about this for a couple of weeks now and I have been hearing rumours as far back as Runefest that stated there may be a chance to fight "2 jads" and that stocking up on firecapes is a good idea as you will need to sacrafice one to take part in the new minigame.

I hope that the firecape sacrafice is simply a ONE-TIME offering, and that you do not need to offer one every single time you enter the minigame. That seems a little excessive if it was that way though, and so I highly doubt you will need more than 1.

This minigame sounds so awesome though, but too bad I probably won't be able to participate My defence is too low, I don't really have any "top-end" gear, and I don't have overloads or the stats to create potion flasks yet. I am definitely looking forward to watching Woox16 take a stab at it though

 

I hope someone like King Tijn opens up a service for the new firecape, the old Jad was hard enough for me lol.

 

I am keen to find out if at all, any pures can get this new cape.

 

Wow, I'm extremely excited about this. Definitely something I'm going to be looking into! I can't wait.

 

I still haven't defeated Jad myself now that I think about it... I think I want to get atleast a few more firecapes under my belt from my own doing before I think of attempting this new one.

 

I have a felling no pures will be able to get this one.

OT: I heard about this too and wasn't sure whether it was 100% true or not.

Seems it is, awesome.

 

I wouldn't be so quick to say that. As with most new updates there will probably be a few glitches/techniques that will be exploited to achieve the cape. And when in doubt, 10k purple sweets and blood spells might do the trick

 

sounds interesting, it's a shame to those who can't beat regular Jad. I might open up a service on this when I get good at beating this "new jad".

 

personally i dont think this one will be as simple as just ranging i have a feeling all styles will be needed and they did say those with stats under 90 will find it extremely difficult

 

Likewise stated, I wonder if pures (1-20 def) - not 30 def turmoil wannebe pures, can attain the new cape.
