Name buying safety

How safe is name buying from rwt? I was looking at purchasing a name for in game gold which I know is legal, but I am a little spooked about getting a false RWT ban from doing it. I was looking at 5b + names, and I don't know if I should trust I don't Jagex. I am just curious on other people's experience.

 

As far as Real-World-Trading to purchase a name from Sythe, I would say the ban chances are extremely low.


I would even say that it is a less ban chance than buying Gold (this is all from personal experience and what i've seen)


The name community doesn't usually have issues with bans, but rather bots that will snipe the names.


I would say go for it if you want to. Just be sure the person you are buying from is Vouched or just use a Middleman honestly. Hope this helps you.

 

thanks I was just curious on peoples experience. I was going to purchase from Assassin who seems as trusted as it gets. not too concerned on that end. I just know handing somebody 5b+ will get noticed by the rwt detection.

 

Yeah Assassin is a good guy, you would be surprised what you can also find from other sellers as well, but if you are certain on the name then yeah I say go for it.


& ohh yeah a 5b trade could definitely trigger a RWT Warning. I thought you meant just the name itself. Maybe just do it in smaller trades off an alt account that's a decent level

 

but seriously is there any way to buy a name without it getting "sniped" in the transaction process?

 

most sellers will insure and refund if it get sniped because they are so fast at what they do and so good at it
