What has this world come 12 year olds plan murders for 5 months just to honor some fictional character?

 

The general public, nowadays, is completely brainwashed into a reality that doesn't exist... I know it sounds contradicting, but spend a couple days in the woods without electronics and you'll know what I mean.

This all makes perfect sense to me. It's unfortunate, but it's easy to see the cause.

 

I'm not entirely surprised. Things have changed so much but on the other side with the population of the world being so high it's likely that there are many more people running around that are more than capable of doing something like these girls did.

anyway i cant believe this even happened..i honestly have no real comments towards it because well..its just messed up.

 

If only parents knew to teach their kids how to differentiate mysticism from reality, these actions and many more would not occur.

 

I think it's more so if parents knew they had to teach that to begin with.

 

Saw this, pretty chilling. But it's no surprise, the things kids have access to at an early age play a huge role in this kind of thing I think. Granted, there's gonna be psychopaths no matter what we do.

Yeah I remember that shit (not the day it happened, but it was on the news years ago).

Thing is there was no Internet back then like there was today. So there was obviously something else influencing them both to do something like that. I don't know whatever it was, not everyone anyone really found out what the point of it was.

The Internet doesn't cause all the world's mental health problems, but I wouldn't say it does a lot to help.

 

I would say the main problem is the media and how it portrays certain stuff. They can choose what to put on TV and how they word stuff and I think that's what causes most problems today.

 

For one, due to the exceptional, outrageous nature of this story i have no comments on it.

However, it seems a bit off to me that these TWELVE year old girls were reported as saying "I felt no remorse" and that they acted as his "proxies" - i know i didn't speak that way (nor did i know anyone who spoke that way) at 12.

And strike my first comment from the record - i think there were psychological/parental issues at play here, but can we please start having the discussion about A) The poison that is Tumblr and B) Not having children using the fucking internet/social media before they're in school?

 

A 12 year old being charged as an adult is ridiculous - ESPECIALLY considering the circumstances. I know that the family would want justice in this situation, but just like a lot of high profile cases (Zimmerman, Casey Anthony, etc), going in for the highest charge will not win over a jury.

 

I heard this on news. This is sick and weird plainly. I agree with Bartons though. Media is playing a major role in this..
