    PSU Question

So the case I want comes with a free psu, which after talking to there sales rep he said "It will probably be a generic 400w PSU" Well I am wondering if that will work for the build I'm trying to do ATM, It isn't a big build so I'm hoping it will work, the parts I'm using are as followed:
Intel core 2 duo (I can't remember exactly, I haven't used the computer in a bit. It was something similar to this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037
    Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128372
    4 Gb ddr2 1066 mhz ram (Havn't bought yet)
A 8500 gt geforce graphics card (Old, but it works)
Some sata/IDE hard-drive (Havn't found yet, I have some laying around my house), Thanks1

    PSU Question

Yes it will work to a bare minimum. Your build seems basic and minimal enough to run on 400W. What you'll want to check is if your 8500GT has a minimum wattage requirement for the PSU. As long as you aren't running any extra peripherals that hog power, you should be fine.

Note: You won't be able to overclock and if you're hitting the requirement too close, you may experience sluggishness and or your system rebooting itself.

    PSU Question

    Thanks for the reply!
Minimum of a 300 Watt power supply. (minimum +12 Volt current rating of 18 amps) for the 8500 GT, Would I be better off buying a cheaper case (Like THIS) and buying a better psu (I have a ~$90 limit between both of them, I want to spend less then that though so I can afford another rsbot.net bot, If so what PSU do you recommend?

    Found this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...001&cm_re=Power_supply-_-17-339-001-_-Product
    It any good?

Theirs a great combo with it, I might do this

That's an excellent combo, and 585W will be enough to run anything you have for right now.

    PSU Question

I've narrowed it down to these possibility:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...5&cm_re=Power_Supplies-_-17-339-025-_-Product
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...072010-Latest-_-ComputerCases-_-11146058-L03D
    81.97$ shipping included
    OR

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.443644
    $76.97 shipping included
    OR

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.443652
    $63.55 shipping included

I might get this and then get a psu when the 40$ rebate comes:

    PSU Question

    Some rebates take a while.
I'm also not a big fan of thermaltake cases. In all honesty, if you can afford the first option, it seems to be the best to me. A 600W PSU would give you room to upgrade a little in the future without worrying about getting another PSU.
