    Protests in Egypt

Well of course the U.S. government will support the protesters. Any country that denies its people a trade product that we profit off of is causing us stress.

I can see this turning sour, though, but hopefully congress will take note that any restriction of the internet is a bad idea.

Mubarak is still there, he's just asked his cabinet to resign but he's going to stay in power for now.

I heard the police were shooting at the protestors. What a corrupt Gov't shooting your own citizens?

There police force is no longer active because they couldn't control the protesters so the military took over. Not to mention many of the police stations and vehicles have been burned and destroyed. The police there are very violent and have been hated by the people for a long time. The people seem to be happy and at peace now that the military has taken over but there is no saying what might happen next.

The police force should all be rounded up and shoved in fucking jail. NO matter what your there to PROTECT your citizens. Not shoot them.

If the USA's police opened fire, they would be charged heavily. Even the army has decency levels by knowing you dont shoot the citizens.

    Protests in Egypt

I don't agree with you. I heard yesterday one of the biggest U.S army training areas is in Egypt. We gave them a billion dollars and numerous army planes, tanks, and weapons in return for being able to train there. If we support the protestors the government could possibly use our own weapons against us. I think the U.S will take a neutral ground to avoid getting either side mad.

I also heard their's looting going on in Cairo, specifically in the Museum in Cairo. Thats crazy all those artifacts are being lost that cost millions of dollars.

    Protests in Egypt

There is looting all over Cairo and Alexandria now that the police are taken out of the picture. Cairo is a city of 20 million and no police force right now so gangs are seizing the opportunity. People are scared and there isn't much they can do but try to fight back. Let's hope something good comes out of this and Mubarak is overthrown.
