So i applied at Jagex today.

Decided that i would give it my best shot. I would be a desktop support technician, or a Customer service -Player support rep.
The requirements are
MCSE certification (which i have)
Some years of experience( Which i have)
And the will to relocate (which i will)

All i did was apply, this doesn't mean i have a job. So don't flame.

I have a great feeling about this mostly because at the moment i work for the government and have a top secret security clearance which helps out on a resume.

i'm currently making $16 an hour, and they are offering in upwards of $20+ so i went for it.

you know, i really have no clue. I know they would find out fairly easily but thats a decision for the future i honestly don't know.

 

Would you have to relocate to their Cambridge headquarters from your location in Texas, or do they have other locations in the US that you could relocate to? And how do you feel about having to potentially move overseas?

I would have to relocate to camb since that is the headquarters. I have a daughter on the way so i think moving overseas would be somewhat of a hassle but honestly i have never been out of Texas and it is becoming somewhat old.
I would love to make 50K a year at Jagex and have a family in england, the US would always be here to come back to

Well good luck mate, although yeah you would have to leave Sythe. Would be cool if you could leak stuff from them, although I'm pretty sure they watch this site.

 

i Had a skype conversation with a friend in england (hes 24) who worked for jagex since he was 22 as a customer support rep. the low down is:

i'm well aware that they do watch many cheating sites. Since sythe doesn't exactly have a binding agreement that jagex employees cannot come to sythe (on the front page that they must accept) then that allows them to. Other ways around that if Sythe were to require a Tos, is that Jagex could contract a company to gather data FROM sythe.org and relay it to jagex. This is possible mainly because the company being contracted by jagex is NOT technically them.

This is why jagex is a Limited Liability company (LLC) which you see on alot of company names because if jagex were to be sued, the party taking legal action could only sue Jagex for what is inside of the business account (which can be a measely $10) for legal purpose.


I tried to sum it up here and i don't know if this is ENTIRELY true, but that is what i was told.
