This condition was set by Jagex to assure rightful ownership of accounts, and to dissuade the act of buying accounts.

You cannot recover the account yourself:

It is not possible to recover the account yourself. It does not matter if you have all the information related to the account. If you aren't the original owner (which can be determined through log tracking the original IP/ISP/Location of account creation), you cannot recover the account.

You are at risk of being punished for acts committed on the account prior to purchase:

Acts like real world trading, macroing, and account sharing can be delayed to receive punishment, and because of that, you are at risk of being punished for these acts while you are in possession of the account.

The Conclusion

Buying a runescape account is very dangerous, that's a given. Does that mean you shouldn't buy an account? Perhaps, but it also means that you need to take the necessary steps to assure these risks presented are minimized to the fullest extent if you still intend on doing so. This can be done by buying accounts from highly trustworthy users. The only thing keeping your account from being taken or banned after purchase is trust. This is something you should always keep in mind when buying an account.

If you work 10 hours you can buy a 100$ account. Wich maybe has a few 99's. In 10hrs of runescaping you can't even get a skill to 60. (From 1).

Not really true. If they're not the original owners then they can still be recovered.

 

It does not matter if the user is trusted or not. People can go rogue at any time, for any reason.

In some cases. It really depends on who is selling the account, the status of the account and their reason for selling it.

I've sold many accounts in the past, and during that time I've seen so many users fall for the obvious. This is more of a text like infomercial to show users what the risks are in buying Runescape Accounts.

Probably cost the same to make an acc and have it trained by others - user services are so cheap these days

When did I say, "I sold many accounts on Sythe"? It's basic context clues. I've sold runescape accounts on various different sites that offered a runescape market.

 

I feel like a lot of these ''reasons'' are just your opinion which not everyone shares.

 

5 out of the 10 reasons are facts. The other 5 are opinions, yes, but who is to say they aren't true?

The whole reason for this is to expose the bad account management Jagex has, which is why everyone should have this knowledge when it comes to buying runescape accounts.

Why not have an account made custom to your needs and have full control of the account?

 

User services are not cheap. They are only cheap if the person is running bots and that means the account is likely to get banned!

 

They are cheap. Compare the market to a year ago and they are extremely cheap. How much do you make an hour skilling compared to selling gold? Not much in comparison really.

90% of services now are botted even if they say they're done legit. The risk of paying for services is just as big a risk as buying accounts IMO.
