Positives and Negatives of Elo Boosts

Hey guy's i have some customers and friends ask me this sometimes so figured i should write up a summary on it


What's the point of buying a LoL ELO boost? - Hey guys today i am going to talk about some of the Positives and Negatives of buying a League of Legends ELO boost. Some people may buy a league of legends ELO boost because they are MMR blocked or stuck in a division they do not feel they belong in, others just do not have the time required to spam solo que games to find they're true elo. One of the Bonuses of getting boosted is that you're MMR will be raised significantly from the increase in win-rate, so lets say you are stuck in gold 3 gaining 15LP and loosing 15LP and you buy a boost to platinum 5, after the boost in complete and you log back in to start solo queuing on you're own you could be gaining as high as 20+ LP per win and loosing only 10 for example, because of the way the mmr system works in league of legends sometimes after purchasing a few divisions maintaining a 50% win-rate could get you climbing another division or two before you're MMR equalizes again. Yet another positive of buying a league of legends ELO Boost is to see how you perform in higher leagues and division's to see if you're cut out for it. This could turn out to be good or bad for you, depending on the player we have seen people who perform better at higher ELO's and players who just have a harder time then they did before so you will just have to wait and see if you have what it takes. Then there are some players who just wish to have a very prestigious ranking but do not have the time to grind it out, many of our customers have the skill required to reach a certain league, just not the time for it. Let's be real. There are no positives of an ELO boost, aside from said booster making $, and said boostee being able to show of their rank to their friends and feel better about themselves. The negative impact is much worse, but due to it being a huge monetary gain factor, it will always be a huge part of LoL. Similar to Botting on RS. It really isn't beneficial for the game in itself, however allows for players to enjoy the game in their own way. Never ending cycle really.

Also with the current ELO system, Riot made it such that it forces players to play many more games than before in order to progress/keep their rating. Which in turn allows for boosters to profit more than before.

 

Sure you could get boosted on one account just make another to actually play on, you're only gonna lose your rank if you keep playing on the boosted account as you clearly don't belong there, waste of time really but hey.

I wouldn't do it, even if I was in a low league but to each their own I guess, I just personally see now benefit to it =/

 

Pretty sure most people just buy Elo boosts to show off a rank they don't actually deserve. I've never purchased one and never will cause I like the feeling of actually accomplishing something.

Oh sure people may say they really deserve to be in a certain division and pay for an Elo boost cause they "get bad teams". But in all honesty they're probably the reason why they can't climb higher.


**Climbing yourself helps you to realize the mistakes you make and how to improve on them and overall how to improve as a player.

Getting boosted higher just means you won't have the decision making skills/mechanics that belong in that Elo and you'll just end up getting frustrated when you can't climb any higher yourself.

 

Elo Boosts is not needed in S4 imo. If you play well, you will gain elo, its as simple as.

Silver being boosted to plat will ruin the plats game as they will obviously be a lower quality player than the other teams plat player, therefore extremely likely to lose lane.

 

Positive: You start adapting to the current elo and eventually will start playing in the Elo you've been boosted to.

Negative: You can't say you've earned it.

I guess.

 

To be completely honest. Elo boosting is what ruins this game people are in tiers that they do not belong in and ruin the overall quality of these games. But the money that gets spent benefits the elobooster so its only beneficial to them I guess. Most of the time i hate myself for absolutely destroying silver and bronze games but I kinda feel better after looking at my PayPal account. Idk just me. I have feelingz

 

You named one negative... there is no positive at all except for the booster making money.

From my experience, people who get boosted either:

• Adjust to their new rating and play accordingly.
• Fall down to their original rating or close to there.
• Don't play any ranked as they are satisfied with their boosted rating.
