    Dave1980 (EGS egamingsupply.com ex-Super Moderator) scams $5000+

    Link to scammer's Sythe profile: Dave1980 - http://sythe.org/member.php?u=322910

    Briefly explain the trade:
These were all done offsite on EGS egamingsupply.com
EGS: angela - FFXI Kraken Club ($600 value), FFXI 20million gil ($200 value)
    EGS: gawd - $320
    EGS: clarins - $720
    EGS: ryuhomax2012 - FFXI 47 million gil ($470 value)

    How they scammed:
I'll be represeting the multiple victims who were scammed on EGS. I believe as many as 3 other people were scammed. This is just the documented transactions. I estimate around $5000+ was scammed.

The EGS Super Moderator Dave1980 was working directly with a notorious scammer known as Heroes. Even before this huge scam, dave1980 had a questionable history. He was banned for scamming D2JSP and had deleted 2 EGS threads accusing him of scamming. Just recently he was banned at EGS (egamingsupply.com) and MMOBay (mmobay.net) and Virtual FAQs (virtualfaqs.com) Dave1980 has the same username on all 3 sites.

The major scam was just to conduct as many "normal" Middleman transactions at once. Delete the threads after goods were delivered, ban users and delete all their posts. EGS: FFXI Gil was the only official EGS Middleman at the time. But somehow Dave1980 was able to convince traders to be their Middleman. Normally payment is sent to the seller, but in these scams Dave1980 served as the WU recipient. Dave1980 had denied all wrongdoing on Virtual FAQs.

But, this is a very brief summary and there is quite a handeful of questionable behavior long before these events that I can also list on request with substantial evidence.

Proof that you were not talking to an impostor:

Admitting to be EGS Super Mod. Refusing to use OMM.

Personal info was removed from these pictures as requested by Sythe. I have the originals if requested. The photos are not photoshopped because when run through the Western Union website, Dave1980 first and last name are shown.

I'm admin at virtualfaqs.com. Dave1980's email registered on my website matches his personal email and confirmed by another 3rd party site with his first and last name. Multiple witnesses including victims can also be summoned to confirm that VF:dave1980 is also EGS:dave1980.

Here is proof of dave1980 refusing the cooperate with the investigation and ignoring the question of why he was the recipient of Western Union transactions. I will continue to work with the victims to see if they were ever compensated or they can post here with your permission.

The other transactions will be harder to provide proof since most posts were deleted. Some are unbanned now so they may be able to access their EGS private messages. If an adequate defense is provided for these 2 WU transactions, which I doubt, I can add more proof.

Even today, Dave1980 refuses to acknowledge any wrongdoing.

WU dockets: #1 and #2 both provide a geographical location which match the location which he posts from. Easy enough to put the rest together.

    Banned.
