    Post your favourite compiler here, Personally i like Dev C++ but haven't really tried anything else

    For windows MSVC++ is easily the best and most used compiler, even the free express edition is sufficient for most people.

    Integrated Development Environments are not compilers.

    My favourite compilers are part of the GNU Compiler Collection (GCC for short), for which there is a Windows port called MinGW.
