I use an online tool called copyscape. This tool is the best for searching for plagurised content. This can be used by the OGV team to looked for leaked and copied guides. You have to pay 5 cents per search. It's really easy to use, just log in, copy and paste the guide in and it will search the whole web. If it finds copied content then it will list the site or sites with the same content. You can also see how much of the guide is copied in %.

There is an about page. http://copyscape.com/about.php

I don't think they will want to pay to search the web

Will save them a lot of time. Instead of searching the web for ages, looking for leaked or plagarised guides they can just copy and paste the guide and they will know if it's leaked or copied within seconds. Charge the guide owners 5 cents to get their guide verified, it's not much.

I don't support this, simply because when we have come across plagiarized guides it really requires little effort. I see no reason paying 5 cents for a search that we can get the same results by simply using Google. We have not had trouble with missing a plagiarized guide so far because usually it can be found right away.

So it's like a cheaper version of turnitin?

Meh. I don't think there's that much hidden content which Google does not systematically cover regarding Runescape. I agree with scottayy when he says that Google is the only tool we really need.

Agreed with determinate & scottay, most of the people that plagiarized guides take it from the first link that pops up on google. The snippets that seem plagiarized I'll c&p into the goggle searchbar, but it really doesn't take much more effort than that. Thanks for looking out though :)
