problems with RS (java) on my new 64 bit pc.

Hello,

I am having some trouble with loading RuneScape on my new 64 bit computer. It has 64 bit windows 7 home premium. When I click on play free now on the runescape page it just gives me either a black screen or the loading circle before it starts loading updates etc.. the page will get stuck on either that black screen or the loading screen.

Graphic card drivers etc. are all up to date.

Any one have any suggestions? I can acces rs through the official rs client.

 

Did you install java 64bit version? I would uninsrall then reinstall it.

 

Update/reinstall both Java 32 + 64 bit, then see what happens.

Try a different internet browser also.

 

Done all of the above before posting this thread, unfortunately didn't work.

 

Try a different java based game and see if it works, then report back here.

 

Download an older version of Java like 6+ not 7

 

current java was screwed up for a lot of people they had to revert back to the previous version try doing this. also make sure you don't have multiple versions of java installed at once as they will cause you problems.

 

What browser are you using?

If you're using I.E., stop and NEVER use it again.

If you're using FF, try Chrome. If you're using Chrome, try FF.

While it may not fix it, it's one more step you can rule out.
