Problem with Runescape high detail

Min requirments for RS high detail - 256 RAM + 1.5Ghz CPU + Nvidia GeForce 3 or equivalent

My pc has 1.25gb RAM + 3.19Ghz CPU + NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X (Microsoft Corporation)

and I still cant log on RS on high detail mode, when its loading and reachs "Starting 3d library" a new page pops up.

Error_game_caps_vesa - Graphics card does not have minimum required features or driver needs updating.

RuneScape was unable to start because your graphics driver reported as the default Microsoft driver. There are four possible solutions to this:

1. Make sure web browser is visible
If your web browser was minimised, non-visible or partly off the screen whilst loading then please try again and make sure that you keep the web browser window visible and don't minimise or hide it. DONE


2. Hardware acceleration
Check that hardware acceleration is turned on:


Right click on your desktop.
Choose 'Properties' from the popup menu.
Go to the 'Settings' tab.
Click the 'Advanced' button.
Go to the 'Troubleshoot' tab.
There should now be a "Hardware Acceleration" bar, make sure it is on full and then click OK. DONE

3. Download latest drivers
Find out what graphics card you have, then download and install the latest driver or download the latest driver from your computer manufacturer's website. Not Done.

Your operating system: Windows XP x86 5.1

Your graphics card: Microsoft Corporation GDI Generic

Your graphics card driver has the following problems:

Software Rasteriser
Unsupported OpenGL Version
No Multi-Texturing
Insufficient Texture Units
No Extended Multi-Texturing

I have no Idea why I cant log on RS high detail mode, I meet all the requirments and more, I play WoW with this Gcard

Can some please help me?

Tried www.driverfiles.net and www.driverguide.com both require money.. so yeah dont waste your time on those 2. atm im downloading driver genious pro (torrent)

As it said: 3. Download latest drivers
Find out what graphics card you have, then download and install the latest driver or download the latest driver from your computer manufacturer's website.

Your graphics card is using the default Microsoft driver, not the nVidia driver, and RS needs the nVidia driver.

I know this isnt much help, but HD isnt worth it. Still crappy graphics and all it does is slow ya' down

I've got the same problem but how do I check what G-fx card I've got?

Right-click My Computer > select properties > go to the hardware tab > click on device manager > click display adapters and you will see the name of your Gcard.

After that, go to google type in your graphic card name and try and find the latest drivers.

I Have This Problem And Im Running Vista I Close Out Of Everything That Has To Do With Java And Restart Firefox THen Do It Again And It Works Dont Know If This Helps You Or Not
