Alright so I'm an overall pretty active guy, I play soccer and I'm out with my friends almost everyday. However I have this small problem...
Most peoples ribs are shaped the same. Your chest is most likely flat just flat and goes down flat the whole way unless you have man-boobs or larger pectorals, however my ribs. Instead of going normally flat, they curve in.
The result of my ribs curving in is a really big hole (I guess you could call it a hole) in the middle of my upper body, in between my pectorals. This causes it to look like i have cleavage/boobs because when I walk my shirt dips down into this "hole".
I was wondering if anyone has any solutions as to what I could do to work around this problem.
I think to solved this you'd need to get more fat/meat to cover it up. Pects wont cover it as pects dont go that far.
Im not 100% sure where the spot is so i may be wrong.
the spot is somewhat in the middle/a little bit above the middle of my ribs, sort of right in the middle of my pecs, and it goes from there down to the bottom of my ribs.
Between your ribs below your pecks, theres a curve in?
I beleive this is called a pigeon chest or something along those lines, I see a few kids with it when i went to school, nothing to worry about just looks different.
That's my problem, it just looks different. I normally wear a "medium" shirt, but with this, it dips in and it looks like I have boobs/major cleavage, so I'm forced to buy "large" t-shirts which look way too big on me. Then forcing me to either wear a jacket, or buy designer brand/really fancy clothing that does fit me.
i'm around 5'10 and I weigh 137 lbs. I am only 14, so I'm somewhat average for my height, but I am a little bit over. Got some chub on my body, but not that you could notice without being with me for a bit.

Finally, another! Dude I've got the same fucking problem. I've got this bigass dent right between my pecs that makes me look fat, even though I've got a 4-pack. I went to see the doctor about it and he actually explained to me that it's a common bone deformation that something like 1/6 or 1/8 people (men AND women) develop during their childhood (you're not born with it).
Unfortunately there's nothing you can do about it. If you work your upper and lower pecs until you've got some nicely shaped tits, you'll still have a hole in your chest, if anything it'll make it more noticeable.
All I can say is welcome to the club bro. Nobody really notices it until you tell them you have it, though.
good to know I'm not the only one haha. It is probably because it grows over time, or develops during childhood. However I didn't pay much attention to it until i was in grade 5, and someone mentioned it and ever since then i've become really paranoid about it.
I think I know what you mean, although I'm not sure if it's the same for me. My ribs seem to be quite big or stick out quite a lot, I'm not fat at all, however my chest and stomach are pretty much inline, whereas my ribs stick out at the bottom a bit, so my stomach is thinner than my ribs.. I don't know how to explain it, it's odd.
In fact, someone pointed it out today, they were like 'Dude, wtf is with your stomach?' and I didn't really know how to explain it. It's kind of embarrassing really, lol.
I know exactly what this is. Its called pectus excavatum. My brother had a pretty bad case of it so he had to get surgery for it recently. Its has to do with your genes so theres no way to fix it unless you want surgery, but working out alot can help make it less noticeable. And the only person who preforms the surgery in the world lives in California. I also have this with me it's not that noticeable.
yeah i know i'd just have to live with it. But when I wear shirts my size (Medium) it dips down in between my pectorals and is pushed up where my pectorals really are. It makes it look REALLLLLLLY weird and it I just can't stand it :s
