What is your favorite color?

In my opinion, blue is the best color.

Is my opinion irrational because I cannot supply empirical evidence?

One's favorite color is a matter of personal preference. One's opinion about external agents in the world is a matter of empirical fact.

For the record, mine is blue too.

It is rational to have personal preferences - the belief itself might be a rational or an irrational one. If one has a preference for believing that God exists without evidence, sure, they can do so, but it doesn't make it rational. If one has a preference for blue - well that's not rational or irrational, it's just a preference that they hold.

Actually, red is techincally the best color. It is emitted at the lowest frequencey level (hz) in a normal spectrum(hydrogen)

No, I would say that you are trying to compare belief in God to color preferences. You misunderstand the central flaw - a color preference is just that - a preference, whereas a belief in God is a matter of external truth. I can have a preference for believing that God exists, but I can be dead wrong. A preference for a color is different because it's not making any statement about reality. What I mean to say is that one can be wrong in believing that a God exists.

I am saying that preferences (not beliefs) cannot be wrong.

No, that belief would be irrational. There is a difference between preferring cake and preferring to believe in God. When you prefer cake, you essentially say "I enjoy the taste of cake". This is a true statement that is based on your biology. When you prefer to believe in God, you essentially say "I prefer to believe in God because the alternative is unappealing". This might be a true statement, but it is not a rational position.

I don't have a favorite, I like alot of colours. I think different colors fits in different places.
