reduce the minimum post to 4 characters

this was serious.. anyway, I just don't think it should be necessary to add something, i constantly post 'bump' and have to go back and change it.

 

I support this. What harm would it do? I do the same, a lot of the time I post just 'bump' and have to go back and put a '.' on the end or something.

I personally hate posting bump, I always try to make something that shows what you are doing at the time for the customer.

Just do something like "Online for business!", "Hey guys, I'm online again! PM/skype me if you want to do business!"

Yeah honestly I dont think this will push through. 5 characters isn't even that much, just post like "bumpp" or "im online" etc

 

Don't mind either way. If you're just posting 'bump' then I don't see why you can't add a period, or exclamation. As Cas said I prefer to say something along the lines of, "Available!"

Edit: It won't be any use to me, but if it helps some and doesn't affect me why not.

I support this suggestion for the reason that I don't believe that 4 and 5 letters will have any noticeable difference in the quality of posts in the website. If someone posts "hello" it is still as much spam as if they posted "hey" etc. It'll be nice for bumping up market threads etc, I'd like to see this. Spam will still be dealt with exactly the same way.

Also I think other concerns like effect on SEO will be negligible. If it would make even a 0.05% impact on SEO then just throw it onto the list of donor perks. It'd be a little bit silly but it'd fix the problem.

Guys, this is something that would take literally 2 minutes to implement. Who cares if its a life or death change to the website, or if its really all that necessary. I've thought it was silly before, and obviously the OP did to the point of making a thread. I can see not caring, but throwing out a no, why? 0.o
