I'll begin by providing some background information on each. Then post which philosopher you agree with, why, and any arguments you might have that you can add.

I personally agree with Locke more, I believe most of us have the ability to control our desires. It's not like any of us ever just go and fuck every girl that we think is attractive. That might be because of the government of Hobbes though, that were scared of what might happen.

Anyways: Post which philosopher you agree with, why, and any arguments you might have that you can add.

EDIT: the quote isn't taken from anywhere. I just wrote it and put it inside the tags to differentiate it from the rest of the text.

Unfortunately my views are a bit in between both Locke and Hobbes. I feel as though I personally feel intimidated/threatened sometimes by those of higher rank to me and thus causes a hate and a desire for the opposing to disappear. Going to primal instincts, maybe that could me fights, and death.

Although I do feel we need some sort of government I also believe freedom is a place and you should have a small right to rebel TO AN EXTENT.

Do I agree completely with either? No.

I agree with Locke based on your quote. I do not like the idea of being forced to conform into a certain group's ideal.

    Edit:

(I guess this is why I have so many infractions rofl)

Despite humans having animal like tendencies, we differ enormously from animals based on our higher order processes. For that reason alone Liberty trumps Order. I would agree that should we not have such abilities to reason that Order would trump Liberty. Given that this is not the case, I don't feel that we are bound one bit to our ancestors way of life.
