RS3 vs. OSRS

hey guys

So i recently got back into OSRS after a long hiatus of like 3 years. Was always a pker so i just picked myself up a nice pure account and starting pking. Well i fell back in love obviously; how can't you amirite?


Now i wanna stop having to buy gold from gold sellers. Being a Canadian means you get absolutely raped by prices right now paying nearly $2 a mil.

SO my question is as a pvmer is it easier to make cash in RS3 and swap it over or is just staying strictly to osrs while pvming more worth while?

I know you mfers are smart as shit so lets see some numbers.

 

Is your OSRS account or EoC account a better PvMer?

 

Im actually in the market to buy a main this is why i'm wondering if u should just buy a nice osrs main or a nice rs3 main.

and which one would likely have better profits based in 07 gold tho because tat's where most of my gold will be spent.

 

Having not played RS3 for quite a while, I did a bit of research into optimal gp/hr and found that the best you'll get is probably around ~10m/hr (not certain about what kind of stats/experience/team/etc you'd need to replicate this, or how sustainable the method is). At current rates of swapping, that's ~1.8m 07 per hour. In OSRS, Zulrah is a consistent 2-2.5m/hr with the right stats/gear/practice, and I've heard that it can go upwards of 3m/hr if you're doing it "efficiently." I'd probably just stick to investing into an OSRS account for moneymaking.

Meteor is correct, but you should note that to get rates past 6-7m/hr in Rs3 you'll either need a lot of experience in PvM and know the most efficient methods (assuming you're already in max gear/cb stats) or be selling some kind of leech service, mini-game or PvM related.

Once you get the requirements for Zulrah and learn it you're guaranteed a steady income. You may only get 1m/hr when you first start off but you'll earn more the better you get at killing it. You don't have to worry about other people or losing your items when you die except a few untradeables that you can re-buy above the general store in edgeville for cheap.

The only thing in 07 which can compare to the profit of Zulrah atm is questing/skilling/minigame services.

 

And even these methods are not as consistent as Zulrah is in terms of income (you could have an off day with customers or something). In addition it's quite hard to get your name out there as a questing/skilling/minigame service provider as a relatively new member unless you undercut the more established competitors by a fair margin (at which point you'd be better off doing Zulrah anyways).
