I find it interesting that he said this statement on Skype.

As he knew the Skype he included in the PM.

I resolved the Skype ID in the report and it matched his account. He appears to have updated his signature after the scam occurred, but I don't have any hard evidence of that.

In any event, I've banned the user for scamming 1.45M pure essence.
